How long have we been manufacturing furniture?

We have been manufacturing cedar furniture for over 39 years.

 

What type of guarantee do we offer?

Rustic offers a 5-year limited guarantee on all the fine furniture products that we make.

 

What type of wood is the furniture made from?

Northern White Cedar (Thuja Occidentalis), a creamy white wood noted for its resistance to decay and insects.

 

What type of wood are the arbors, trellises & painted furniture made from?

Western Red Cedar (Thuja Plicata), a warm, reddish-toned wood also noted for its resistance to decay and insects.

 

What are the cracks in the wood?

The slight cracking is called checking, a natural process which occurs as the wood dries. It is only on the surface and does not affect the structural performance or integrity of the wood.

 

Does the furniture arrive unassembled (KD)?

Yes, it is KD in major components. For example, the chairs and settees are in four components.

 

Is the furniture easy to assemble?

Yes. Our furniture is all mortise and tendon joinery, and is easily assembled with household tools.

 

What is the lead time for ordering/shipping?

Average lead time is 7-10 days.

 

How is it shipped?

Most items ship UPS, though large shipments go common carrier. All common carrier items are marked with an asterisk in the catalogue. Common carriers will deliver to roadside only and are not required to assist in the unloading process. Does Rustic accept C.O.D. shipments?

No, we do not ship orders C.O.D.
